Welcome to Mondulkiri !

Mondulkiri is a province located in the eastern part of Cambodia, known for its stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The region is characterized by rolling hills, dense forests and cascading waterfalls, making it a popular destination for eco-tourism. The region is being recognized as a rising star in the northeastern, is one of the highlights in the country of its diverse wildlife, including elephants, which can be found in sanctuaries that promote ethical tourism. The province is home to the indigenous Bunong people, who maintain their traditions and lifestyles, adding cultural depth to the area.

Tourists can experience activities such as trekking, visiting waterfalls like Bou Sra and exploring the unique flora and fauna of the region. It is a rewarding experience for a trip of research about the most ethical way to do on wildlife tourism. Angkor Destination Travel conduct the trip to promote responsible wildlife and strongly collaborate with private institutions such as WWF and WCS, to bring our tourists to visit and support.

The Elephant Valley project (EVP), which is apparently one of the good ones around the region. To conduct the trip to this project, is only possible on the weekdays, they are not doing tours during the weekend in order to give their elephants some rest. Tourists are motivated and encouraged to volunteer with them as well, if you are interested – Wildlife lover.
Besides this Elephant Valley Project, there are some other options, like gibbon tours to see 3 endangered monkey species.

Climate:
